Updating the review to say their smoked buffalo wings and chicken are phenomenal! These are a must try. The buffalo wings are also non dairy which is fantastic!

New location, same great BBQ! We ordered a large combo which was enough for two of us with leftovers for another small meal. The home made sausage was the standout for us, even though the chicken, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and beans were also fantastic. Next time we will arrive a bit earlier to try the ribs and brisket before they run out.

We stopped in to their store front looking for good bbq. The reviews of this place caught our attention. Ordered the 3 meat combo, and got the ribs, brisket and pulled pork, along with the beans and coleslaw. The Brisket had a decent bark on it, and was tasty, but had too much fat on most of the pieces. The ribs were good and reasonably tasty, not overdone and not over sauced like you see in some places (you sauce it yourself). The pulled pork was quite nice, great flavor. The slaw I enjoyed, I would classify it as a country-type of slaw. The beans were good as well, good flavor. We thought the 3 meat combo was a bit overpriced for what you receive. $32 for 3 ribs, and a small serving of other meats, with small sides... good food but a bit too much price wise.

I found Whiskey Flats right before the pandemic hit, and it was run out of a shack in some neighbourhood. It was amazing! There was outside seating on picnic tables, and you would never think you could find the most incredible barbeque here. The prices were commensurate for the quality and size of the orders, and each plate came with these spicy, pickled vegetables! I love these small, local businesses, and it doesn't get better than a neighbourhood shack selling home-cooked barbeque! I took many friends, acquaintances, and coworkers here. We visited today for the first time in a couple of years (haven't been since I stopped working in San Pedro), and to our surprise, it now operates out of a store on Gaffey! Unfortunately, there are only a few parking spaces and no dining tables, but the food is just as good as I remember it! Inside, you'll find about 5 seats without tables, which is actually tantamount to the number of parking spots outside. Otherwise, it is just a counter with a register and a kitchen. Don't come for the experience; come for the food! I've had the brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, cole slaw, mac salad, chili beans, fries, and collard greens. Everything is bomb, except the fries and mac salad. The brisket and pulled pork are juicy and tender, almost melting in your mouth! The wife loved the ribs, saying it was tender and carmelized on the outside. The bbq sauce was on point and delicious with all the meats! Our favourite side, by far, was the chili beans! They have been in this specific location since February 2024, and I'm glad they are finding more business here. This is a busy street, so I wish them much future success! As of now, they are advertising $1 wings on Wednesdays, so we'll be returning next Wednesday for some badass wings! Sadly, it does not seem they still serve every plate with those spicy pickled vegetables, but the food is still of quality and freshly made. This is, without a doubt, a 5-star barbeque spot!

Came in lunch time midweek. Busy inside as people were sitting waiting for orders. Had to wait 5 minutes to place order but gave time to review menu. Ordered 3-item plate: ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Came with two sides: chose fries and beans. Ribs were moist with no sauce as it comes on the side. Not a fan of the sauce as it is too vinegary for my taste but enjoyed the ribs as is. Brisket and pork were moist and tender as well. I like crinkle style fries so I was happy that they serve here but wish it was crispier. Beans come with brisket pieces inside. Orders are take out only as there is no place to sit and eat. Parking lot is small and had to park on the street. Overall solid BBQ place and will visit again.

My favorite BBQ spot! It's always a pleasure to be greeted by Brittany! She is very friendly, professional and her recommendations are always spot on. I love their tree item combo of tender, tasty ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The collard greens and chili beans are absolutely delicious! They even go a fancy jukebox for added ambience!
